All Pasco County schools, offices, and PLACE (Ranger Care) will be closed on Friday, September 2nd due to localized flooding and potential unsafe wind conditions.

Tuesday, August 30, 2016

We are required to follow the Pasco County annual calendar. Therefore, if schools close, so will we. Here is the latest update:

Pasco County Schools is closely monitoring the tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico and will make a decision about closing schools Wednesday evening, at the latest.
We are working with Pasco County Emergency Operations, and a decision about closing schools will be made after consultation with the experts in that office. If sustained wind speeds are predicted to exceed 40 MPH, we cannot run school buses. Currently, wind speeds are predicted to be 25 MPH, with 45 MPH gusts in the rain bands.
We want to have the most up-to-date information from the National Weather Service before making any decisions related to school closures, but we also want to make the decision as early as possible so that parents can make arrangements for their children,” said Superintendent Kurt Browning. “It’s a tough call, and these storms can be very unpredictable.”

Ranger Care Fun

Young Rembrandts visited our Summer Ranger Care Program. Students learned how to draw a sequence that told a story by drawing four scenes and then colored their favorite scene. What an amazing group of artists!

Welcome!

Welcome to Learning Lodge Academy's new blog, Campfire Chronicle. This blog will help our community to stay in touch and informed with the happenings at LLA!
